Eat

Monmouthshire is known as the food capital of Wales for good reason. The rolling hills offer some of the best climates for growing crops and rearing animals (sheep!), servicing local cafes, tearooms and Michelin- starred restaurants alike. It’s worth getting out there and exploring but here are some of our favourites.

If you are looking for places to explore in the area here are our recommendations

Abergavenny Food Festival

We have to begin with one of the biggest events on the Welsh food calendar. Held for two days every September, this feast for the senses brings together food producers and chefs transforming the town’s streets into one giant buffet table. Take an empty stomach and be prepared to come away with whole host of delicious treats to enjoy at home.
